- The Scene view has Unity's 2D mode (the toolbar's 2D: orthographic, looking along +Z, dragging pans, the grid on the XY plane; off, the 3D view comes back where 2D left the pivot), an orthographic switch (as wide at the pivot as the perspective view; rays are parallel for picking and the handles), and the axes in its corner: clicking an axis looks along it, the label below switches Persp and Iso.
- Several objects can be selected: Ctrl+click in the Hierarchy or the Scene view adds or takes out (the last one is active: the inspector's and the handles'), Shift+click in the Hierarchy selects a range. Delete, Duplicate, Copy and Cut act on the selected objects not inside another selected one, each command one undo step; a handle drag carries the others along (the same offset, the same rotation about their own pivots, the same scale factors) and commits them as one batch. The inspector shows the active object and how many are selected.
- The Console counts and toggles messages, warnings and errors, collapses repeats into one line with a count, searches, and (by default) clears when play starts.
- Tests: orthographic and 2D cameras project what their rays hit and switch back; the 2D button; Ctrl and Shift selection, Duplicate and Delete of several, and a two-object move in one step (kittest); the Console's filters.
- Not yet: placed prefabs as linked prefab instances; handles and grid drawn over objects; box selection in the Scene view.
