- After its operations, a composite grows by offsetDistance, shrinks by twice it and grows by it again, each time with square corners (cut across the bisector at the distance from the corner); a negative distance shrinks first. Gaps narrower than twice the distance close, slivers thinner than it vanish when it's negative, and every corner is cut by d (2 - sqrt 2) along its sides, as Unity's composites do. The default (0.00005) cuts less than vertexDistance, so composites look as before.
- The setter ignores changes under a millionth, as Unity's does; changing it rebuilds the composite. The native union takes the distance (API_VERSION 49).
- Checked by
composite_offset(6000.3): defaults and the setter, gaps either side of twice the distance, single boxes, a notch, slanted edges, a thin ring, a cut hole, a negative distance and a distance changed at runtime, by vertices, area, bounds and which points are inside; and a unit test in tassix_physics2d. - Next: the executable's icon; UI Toolkit numeric fields (IntegerField, FloatField).
